Caryl Huzziff (PhD., MNZCCP)

Caryl is a clinical psychologist working in Taranaki, New Zealand.  She has been in practice since 2002, working with children, adolescents and adults who experience mental health problems.  She is skilled in services targeting a wide range of difficulties including Anxiety Disorders, Depression, Stress and Burnout, and Intellectual Disability assessments.

Her approach to therapy is client-centered. In her practice, Caryl draws on different evidence-based interventions to best suit your needs. Interventions include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Practice, Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Psychotherapy

Caryl has been been providing therapy for over 20 years, following her studies at Massey University where she completed her PhD on CBT for anxious children.

She is skilled in psychological assessment and treatment across a wide range of difficulties.

 

The therapy approach used is client-centered and evidence based.  Therapy will be tailored to suit your needs.  

Assessment

Caryl offers diagnostic assessments for Intellectual Disability for children aged 6-16 years.

Caryl has experience in providing clinical professional supervision for psychologists, counsellors and other professionals.
